Triton ULTRA integrates with Commend ComPLC through Triton Cloud, using inbound webhooks to turn sensor alerts into configured intercom and automation actions. A detection can trigger an action on a Commend intercom station, switch an output, send an ICX message, or start an outbound webhook workflow.
This gives staff a way to initiate a response through the communication system already installed in the building. Your team chooses how an alert should affect Commend equipment and can combine it with other conditions in ComPLC before an action runs.
Triton Cloud + Commend ComPLC
How it works: Create an inbound webhook in ComPLC for each sensor and alert type you want to receive. Webhook names follow the format <device_id>_<Alert_Display_Name>, and the alert display name must exactly match Triton Cloud, including capitalization.
Connect the systems: Enter the ComPLC host, port, protocol, and credentials in Triton Cloud. Set the Webhook ID for each sensor to the part of its webhook name before the underscore.
Choose the webhook behavior: The recommended trigger setting changes the output to TRUE and then back to FALSE. Other documented options can set, clear, toggle, or pulse the output, depending on the workflow you configure.
Build a response around the event
ComPLC can combine the inbound signal with Boolean logic to control downstream actions. That lets an integrator connect detection to an intercom action, a switched output, an ICX message, or another device’s API through an outbound webhook.
Before you start: Have access to Triton Cloud, your ComPLC instance, and its connection details. Create one webhook per device and alert type: five sensors with Vape and Aggression enabled require ten webhooks. Test the connection and confirm the expected output state and downstream action in ComPLC.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which vape sensor integrates with Commend intercom systems?
Triton ULTRA integrates with Commend ComPLC through Triton Cloud. Sensor alerts become inbound webhooks that can trigger configured intercom actions and other automation.
Does the integration connect directly from the sensor?
The documented Commend ComPLC integration sends webhooks from Triton Cloud.
Do I need a webhook for each sensor and alert type?
Yes. Each device and alert-type combination needs its own inbound webhook, named with the matching device identifier and case-sensitive alert display name.
What can a Triton alert trigger in ComPLC?
Configured intercom station actions, switched outputs, ICX messages, and outbound webhooks. ComPLC logic determines which actions run.
Does connecting the integration automatically configure the intercom response?
No. Configure the downstream logic and actions in ComPLC, then test the complete workflow. Sending the webhook provides the input to that workflow.
