VideoInsight (On-Prem)

The fit: Your security operators already live in VideoInsight's Rules Manager all day. This integration means a Triton event never requires them to look anywhere else. It surfaces as a rule-driven alarm, right alongside every other signal they're already monitoring.

How it works: Triton ULTRA sends event data to VideoInsight over HTTP. On the sensor, you enable HTTP under Platform Integration > HTTP Settings, point it at your VideoInsight API endpoint, and set the method to POST (typically with Basic Auth using your VMS administrator credentials). On the VideoInsight side, Rules Manager lets you build custom responses for each detection type - Vape, Aggression, Gunshot, and more. This path is supported on both VideoInsight 7.x and 8.x.

Alert workflow & camera association: Link Triton sensors to nearby cameras directly in Rules Manager. When an alert fires, VideoInsight automatically displays the closest camera feed, giving operators visual context on the hallway or entry point right outside the private space. One current limitation: bookmarking footage to a specific event is not yet supported for Triton ULTRA events on VideoInsight - live camera pop-up works as described, but saved bookmarks tied to a Triton event require the Triton Cloud + Evidence Room path below.

Live monitoring, without doing rounds: Because the Triton ULTRA occupancy stream can be added to VideoInsight as an RTSP Stream, operators can pull it up anytime to check on a restroom in real time instead of walking the halls to do a physical round. Add every restroom to the same view as your cameras, and one operator can watch all of them at once - a real force multiplier for coverage.

Triton Cloud + VideoInsight (with Evidence Room)

The fit: This is the integration for teams who want more than an alert - they want the footage and the story around it saved automatically. Triton Cloud connects to VideoInsight 7 or 8, bookmarks the relevant camera footage to each event, and pulls everything into Evidence Room so reviewing an incident means opening one record instead of cross-referencing two systems.

How it works: In Triton Cloud, you authenticate directly to your VideoInsight server (domain/IP, port, protocol, and login credentials), then map two camera IDs per sensor: a Bookmark Camera ID (the actual camera near the sensor, used to bookmark footage to the alert) and an Event Camera ID (the sensor's own occupancy RTSP stream, recorded as a camera in VideoInsight). From there, event rules in VideoInsight's Rules Manager use an Enhanced System Input trigger tied to the exact, case-sensitive event category Triton Cloud sends (e.g., "THC", not "thc"), typically set to pop a Live Alarm Window with the relevant camera.

Alert workflow & camera association: Once camera IDs are mapped and rules are set, every Triton event bookmarks footage automatically and lands in Evidence Room alongside occupancy footage and sensor metrics (air quality, sound level, and more) from the moment of the alert - by default, 2.5 minutes before and after. Triton Keyword Assist (TKA) events can be routed the same way by using the TKA value from Triton Cloud as the event rule's Category.
