Until now, connecting non-camera sensors, like vape detectors, gunshot detectors, or occupancy sensors, into a cloud-hosted video management system (VMS) typically required a manufacturer-specific integration built and maintained on a case-by-case basis. ONVIF Profile V changes that by giving devices and cloud VMS platforms a shared, brand-independent language, allowing a Profile V-conformant VMS to reach a Profile V-conformant sensor behind a school or hospital's local firewall, typically without port forwarding or a VPN tunnel. Privacy remains at the forefront
Triton's products are deployed in some of the most sensitive spaces a sensor can occupy: school restrooms and locker rooms, hospital corridors, and other areas where continuous audio or video recording would be inappropriate, and in many states, illegal.
